My daughter and I had a great time with Terance {I believe that was our instructors name} We were the only ones so we got a private tour, that was nice. Terance told us a lot but the history about the area very interesting. This was 1 of my top thngs to do in Florida, this happens to be my 2nd time doing this kayaking trip. I would love to go every year it is so amazing!!!!Posted on Google![]()

My fiancé and I had an AMAZING time during this tour! We were traveling from Canada and seeing the bioluminescence was one of the biggest reasons we chose to visit this area of Florida. We got to experience both the dinoflagellates and comb jellies during our tour and we learned so much. Savannah was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable for only being with the company a short time. We would definitely recommend this company and we would choose them again for our next kayak tour.Posted on Google![]()

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience here doing the dolphin kayak tour. They were very accommodating, the guide was hella knowledgeable, and it was the highlight of our trip. There were so. Many. Dolphins. And. Manatees. So cool.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend the Haulover sunset/bio canal tour with Florida Adventurer. My family (2 adults, kids 11 and 14) are experienced kayakers and I do not usually book tours but I was hesitant to go to a new place at night and this site only allows night launches with a permit, so I booked. I am so glad! It was worth every penny. Brian was our guide and he gave us such a great experience, informative but also relaxing. We all learned so much! We were able to see comb jellies and dinoflagellates, dolphins, pufferfish, and many many birds. It was quiet and peaceful out on the water in the evening. My daughters also gave it their highest ranking, 100% worth the mosquito bites, they want to go back again.Posted on Google![]()

The most magical thing my family and I have ever done - can't recommend this enough. We each had a kid with us in the kayak, which were easy to paddle. We had Savannah as our guide and she taught us so much about what we were seeing and took us to all the best spots but also gave us peaceful moments to enjoy and interact with nature. We went in October and saw a great dealPosted on Google![]()

Such a worthwhile experience. Our guide was knowledgeable not just in kayaking but in the ecology of the river. We saw comb jellyfish and bioluminescent plankton light up the bottom of our clear kayak-like a full starry universe right beneath your feet! Would do again in a heartbeat.Posted on Google![]()

Highly excellent tour!! We encountered a lightening delay but Rae was upbeat, super accommodating and fun! The 3 guides made sure we were safe without ruining the suspensefulness of night time kayaking amid the unknown!! Would absolutely do it again!!
Our bioluminescence kayaking tours are the top-rated outdoor activity near Orlando, just an hour from Universal Studios and Disney World. Here’s why adventurers love us:
Immersive Eco-Experience: Paddle through mangrove trails and shallow flats in the Indian River Lagoon, dubbed “Florida’s Bioluminescence Bay.”
Your 90-minute tour begins just after sunset, launching from either Haulover Canal in Titusville or Kiwanis Island Park in Merritt Island. Our certified guides provide a brief kayaking lesson and equip you with Coast Guard-approved life vests, paddles, and flashlights. As darkness falls, every paddle stroke and fish dart creates a neon-blue glow, transforming the water into a living light show.
The bioluminescence, caused by dinoflagellates in summer and comb jellies in cooler months, is brightest on moonless nights. Check our moon calendar (#) to plan your tour for maximum glow. You’ll paddle through serene mangrove trails, marvel at the Milky Way, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a manatee or dolphin illuminated by the glowing water.
Pro Tip: Leave cameras at home—bioluminescence is tough to photograph without professional gear. Immerse yourself in the moment!
The Indian River Lagoon, stretching along Florida’s Space Coast, is one of the most biodiverse estuaries in North America. Its protected waters, free from city lights, make it the perfect spot for bioluminescence kayaking. Located just 45 minutes from Orlando, it’s an easy escape from theme parks for a night of natural wonder.
